Coffeeshop Ch:3 A Kind Of First Date

His alarm clock rang and Rythian hit the snooze button and got up. It was around 9:00am and since they were on break from college he didn't have to worry about class, but only for his job he got up. He went over to the kitchen after he got dressed in a dark purple turtle neck and black jeans. He poured himself a cup of coffee to go and started heading out the door humming a happy tune, something he never does in the morning.
"Why are you all of a sudden cheery?" Nilesy's voice came up behind him.
He turned around and seemed to give him a smile "What? Can't I be happy for once?" and he picked up his ocarina and with his other hand and blew air into it and left their apartment leaving Nilesy speechless.
He drove his moped to Blackrock Books and entered singing the same tune as he left. He went on the day stacking books onto the selves, managing the cash register and playing his ocarina during his break. As the clock rang 5:00pm he clocked out and went across the way to Honeydew Bakery. The bell rang and Lewis, a tallish man wearing a red t-shirt and black jeans welcomed him as he entered.
"Hello and welcome to Honeydew Bakery! May I help you?" he looked up from the cash register and noticed Rythian, one of the only men that were taller than him," Hello Rythian. What do you need?"
"Just a baker's dozen of your homemade Jaffa Cakes." He replied back.
"Coming right up." Lewis replied as he went to the kitchen.
As Rythian waited the bell that hanged over the door rang and he turned around and saw Zoey there.
"Oh hi Rythian!" she exclaimed.
"Hello Zoey." He replied back.
"So what are you here for?" she asked as she approached him.
"Oh, just grabbing a bite. Do you want to join me?" he asked
"I'd love to."
Lewis came out with a packet of Jaffa Cakes and Rythian paid for them. The both of them headed outside to the outdoor seating. They sat themselves near a little pond where the saw two swans. He set the Jaffa Cakes. They talked about their day and what they did during breaks.
"I just read a magazine, what did you do?" She asked.
"Oh." He hesitated for a moment then continued "I played the ocarina." He mumbled.
"Can I hear you play it?"
He sighed and pulled it out of his pocket and he started playing it. It was a beautiful song, something that he made up in high school.
"What's the name of the song?" Zoey asked once more as he finished.
"Her eyes." He replied back in a hush voice.
"Well it's a beautiful melody."
The sun began to set and the watch it dip into the sky and the swans started to do that heart thing, like you see in the movies. Rythian drove Zoey home on his moped.
"Thanks for the lovely first date, Rythian."  She said.
"Wait what?" he said in disbief.
"Well, if you ask a girl to join them it kind of acts like a date." She chuckled.
"Well then, your welcome."
Zoey gave him a peck on the cheek and went inside of her house. Rythian felt his heart race about a thousand beats per second. When his hear finally slowed down he hopped back onto his moped and drove back home. Nilesy was at their aparment waiting for Rythian.
"So where you've been? I was at BARRY's and neither you or Zoey were there when I got there." he asked.
"Out with Zoey." Rythian replied back with a shy smile than he heading into his room to get some shut eye for the next day to come.  
When Nilesy heard the door shut he did some sort of dance that is mix between a chicken and a victory dance.
